I hope you all had a good thanksgiving. I am thankful for my family, friends and all of you who take the time to read my posts and give me feedback. I appreciate all of you. Thank you!
I saw this on a post. Savoury granola was added on roasted butternut squash. I looked it up and there are lots of options. Some have used egg white. this is without eggs and is vegan. Here is a simple recipe which is great to eat by itself or on salads. It gives a nice crunch to your salads or grilled vegetables and a nice texture to soups.
Ingredients
1/3 cup walnuts
1/3 cup sliced almonds
1/3 cup cashewnuts
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup pepita or pumpkin seeds
1/3 cup oats
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp honey
1 tsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 325ºF (163ºC)
Line baking sheet with parchment paper
Mix all the ingredients and spread over baking sheet
Bake for 15 minutes; mix halway and check to make sure they do not burn
Cool and store in an airtight jar
